Cookies and download access
This page explains browser cookies used by the current public library and its PDF download access.
Browsing the library
In this release, the catalogue, guide, collection and contact pages do not load analytics or advertising scripts. The audited public pages do not set a cookie before you enter a download code.
The essential download-access cookie
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
eia_pdf_access | Remembers successful code entry so you can download PDFs in the same browser. | 12 hours |
This first-party cookie contains a signed access token, not the readable shared code. It uses Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. Displaying the cookie information panel does not create an additional cookie.
Clearing cookies and ending access
You can remove this site’s cookies in your browser settings. After eia_pdf_access is removed or expires, enter the code again to download. PDFs already saved on your device remain available. Blocking this cookie can prevent the site from remembering download access.
Other services
WordPress administrator sign-in is separate from visitor code access and uses its own authentication cookies. Payments are not currently enabled. If analytics, advertising or a payment provider is added, this information will be updated and any required choices provided before the relevant technology is enabled. Technical server logs are separate from browser cookies.
