[Countrywide] Easy coastal walking trails: which routes are genuinely family‑friendly and still scenic?

Applies to the whole country (not tied to a single city). Use when the answer is the same everywhere in that country.

I’m gathering recommendations for coastal walks that feel accessible: no steep climbs, clear paths, good views.
Think “easy day out” rather than “serious hike.”

Please share:
  • Your favorite coastal trail and how long it takes at a relaxed pace
  • Whether it works for kids/strollers (or if there are stairs/rocks)
  • Where the best viewpoints are along the route
  • Any tips on timing (tide, wind, parking, weekend crowds)
What’s your go-to easy coastal walk—and what makes it better than the alternatives?

The coastal paths on Bygdøy in Oslo are hard to beat for an easy win: mostly flat, wide paths, constant water views, and plenty of benches for snack diplomacy with kids. It’s very stroller-friendly if you stick to the main loop, and you can easily stretch or shorten it depending on energy levels. From what I’ve seen, timing matters more than fitness here — weekday mornings are calm, weekends turn into a moving picnic parade. Any coastal walks outside Oslo that stay this relaxed without secretly turning into rock-hopping adventures?
